Do the Llama Hop

Welcome to my little stop along the llama hop! If you just came to my blog and have no idea what I am talking about, hop on over to the llama home blog.
My projects for this hop showcase the Ribbon of Hope stamp and Elizabeth stamp, both from a la carte page 20 in the Idea Book & Catalog.

The first card, I kept clean and crisp. I embossed the ribbon in white, then inked over it using a sponge and  Melon Mambo ink. Supplies used: Basic Black cardstock, Heat Tool, White Embossing powder, Versamark ink, White Craft ink, Melon Mambo cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Occassions Alphabet, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and Basic Rhinestones.
The second card, featuring Elizabeth is very grungy and distressed. I wrinkled the pattern paper until it felt like fabric. I used the wheel to stamp flowers onto the ribbon. I frayed the edge of the card using the side of my scissors. Supplies used: Early Espresso paper and ink, Very Vanilla paper, Elizabeth stamp, white ribbon, Brights DSP. (designer series paper)

Love the color and Pizzazz you've brought to the Ala Carte section of the hop Miss Michelle. The paper effects on the Elizabeth card whispered your Japan travels to me. So glad to have you back on US soil just in time for earthquakes and hurricanes in your new East Coast home. If our hop didn't have you hopping I'm thinking the weather might have done the job as well!

Hugs and llama love to a sister from the watercooler. - Jean

Beautiful color combinations. My MIL has the Elizabeth stamp and has been looking for ideas. I will send her here. Thanks for hopping.

Nice job, Michelle. Now that I've seen the "Elizabeth" used, I really like it.

Michelle, I enjoyed your cards, I have the ribbon but have never used it but I see a CASE coming on.

Wow - you survived TWO earthquakes this year, moved around the world, weathered a hurricane and still did this?? Amazing woman. I love these! The rhinestones on the ribbon card add so much. And I love what you did with Elizabeth. I got it and have been stumped. Thanks for the idea!!

Great combination of cards, Michelle, clean/crisp vs distressed! Is your window in Elizabeth hand-cut? I'm truly blown away by that card, it's so stunning, and I'm VERY tempted to try it myself...

Love the color combos! I am in awe of your cutting! I would never even attempt to cut out "Elizabeth"!

Way cool vintage card, and great use of Ribbon of Hope. You've shown me a new way to use the Elizabeth stamp --thanks!
